HeartsAlive - Sermon - Worship Complete In Christ
Last Friday evening, I spoke to you about God revealing HIMSELF to us. He has revealed HIMSELF to us by way of HIS beloved SON, the Lord Jesus Christ.
A person hears the preaching of the Word of God, and He or She is convicted of their need of the Savior, therefore, the cry out to God for mercy. “O God be merciful to me a sinner.”
And He hears our cry.
We are then born-again, born of the Spirit of God. A new creation in Christ, old things are passed away behold all things become new.
The old man is to be crucified…, put to death. I must choose to die daily.
I die to selfishness.
I die to my pride
I die to my covetousness.
I die…, I choose by faith to turn away from sin and I run to Christ.
The old man is to be put to death daily, and the new man is to Worship Christ and to Walk with Christ.
At the very instant that a person is saved, they move from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. They become a child of God.
1John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:
At that moment so very much happens as we are placed “IN CHRIST”
Ephesians 1:3-7 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Colossians 1:27-28 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
The New Testament is filled with scripture which speaks of the believers position “IN CHRIST”.
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But alas, how often as we journey through the days of time do we remember the things that we have done and said…, and our soul cries…, Sinner…, you are still just an old sinner.
Beloved Satan the great deceiver will seek to cry Hypocrite, worthless wretch, You are not perfect. (“Thank you for reminding me How Much God has forgiven me” – ALL)
He deceives by speaking untruth…, to divide us from God and the fellowship of the Spirit…, to destroy our destiny in time. He seeks to render us hopeless.
Beloved, in God’s sight, we are complete in HIM…,
We are accepted in the beloved…,
We are seated in the heavenlies that is our position and
We are Perfect in HIM.
Oh beloved, I look forward to the time when every stain of sin shall be removed from me.
The bitterness
The futile nights of worry
The endless demands of unbelief
The lustful longings of time – They shall be gone.
The wounds of days gone by – the fights, the divorce, the deaths, the deceptions, that wasted so many years of our lives. They shall be gone…, not a single memory of sorrow shall touch the sweetness of my soul.
Beloved the believer shall be presented faultless before the throne, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.
The Church, the beloved Bride of Christ then will be so pure, that not even the eye of Omniscience will see a spot or blemish in her.
Revelation 21:4-7 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Then shall we know, and taste, and feel the happiness of this vast but short sentence, “Complete in Christ - perfect in Christ Jesus:”
Only then shall we fully comprehend the Great heights and depths of this Wonderful salvation that we have gained in Christ.
How is it that sinners such as we are brought to such a marvelous place of blessing. We must choose by faith to reflect upon this maginificent truth of our glorious position in Christ.
I am IN Christ
I am Forgiven
I am loved with an everlasting love
I am Sanctified
I am Glorified
For I am In Christ
Will you claim your rightful position IN Christ?
