God the Father is well pleased with HIS Son.
Matthew 12:16-18 And charged them that they should not make him known: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased:
The Soul of God the Father (the mind, the will, and the emotions) of God the Father is “WELL PLEASED” with His Son.
Why is HE pleased?

Justice would now finally be realized in the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:1-5 1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
What does this text tell us about the difference in the blood of bulls and goats and the blood sacrifice of Christ?

The sacrifices of bulls and goats could not remove sin. The sacrifices of bulls and goats could not bring access to God. The sacrifices of God were only for the external.
One time a year on the day of Atonement, the High Priest and the High Priest alone went into the Holy Of Holies…, went into the presence of God to make atonement for the sins of the people, but NO ONE had access to the presence of God. But through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ we have access to the presence of God.
Hebrews 10:16-23 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
The blood of Jesus Christ gives us access to the presence of God. This is something the Old Testament saints did not have. Do we avail ourselves to this access?

James 4:4-8 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
We often discuss the idea that “…God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble”. What is the context of this truth? What truths surround this truth?

Heb 10:10-14 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he (Jesus Christ) hath perfected for ever them (you and me) that are sanctified. (set apart unto God to be the recipients of HIS manifold blessings)
So now do we understand why God is well pleased with HIS Son and Why our God is Happy?
1Timothy 1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God,….
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
The LORD determined that HIS sufferings…, the sufferings of HIS beloved Son were necessary. Therefore the Father was pleased that the Son would subject himself to such great sorrows to save the very crown of HIS creation.
When Jesus said, “It is finished!” What do you suppose was the reaction of the inhabitants of heaven?

The worship of heaven exploded. I long to be in that moment when the Thunder of Heaven, the worship of Heaven Gives Honor and Glory to the Lamb of God. This pleased the Father. Redemption was complete. The end of that Redemption would be realized in eternity. At the celebration of the marriage supper of the lamb and the bride becoming one with the bride groom.
Jesus said in John 17:21-22 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Eph 5:30-32 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew
thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
