Men Grounded in Christ

Men's Conference 2011

Thank you for your interest in our 2011 Men’s Conference, GROUNED IN CHRIST. As men we are called to be the spiritual leaders of our homes. We play a key role in the future of our nation and in the spiritual guidance of our children. As noted in The Truth about Men, author Robbie Low, “(it is) the religious practice of the father of the family that, above all, determines the future attendance at, or absence from, church for the children… In short, if a father does not go to church, no matter how faithful his wife’s devotion, only one child in 50 will become a regular worshiper.”

With so much at stake, we are praying for God to pour His Spirit out upon the men of our nation. We are asking God to renew our passion for our families and give us the tools to help equip us to be more grounded in our faith. We challenge the enemy in this area because we know that when men, once again, take the spiritual lead in our homes our families will be impacted for generations to come.

As you join us for this weekend we will roll out the red carpet, just for you! Friday evening gets underway with a wonderful meal, followed by a time of praise and worship with our worship pastor, Larry Buchanan. Then, at 7pm we will have our opening message in our church sanctuary. Also planned are a number of breakout sessions for Friday evening and Saturday morning. During these sessions you will be hearing how God has worked in the lives of some of our spiritual leaders and fathers of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

We look forward to the opportunity to serve you. Please join with us in praying for God to prepare our hearts for all He has in store for us at this year’s conference. May it truly be a tool that will help each of us be GROUNDED IN CHRIST.
God Bless You and Your Family,

Gary Phelps,
Senior Pastor
